Professor Introduction

Professor Yu is the executive vice president, professor, Ph.D. tutor of Shanghai Advanced Institute of International Shipping . He once served as vice president of the School of Economics and Management in Shanghai Maritime University  and director of the postgraduate department of the School of Economics and Management. Professor Yu has long been engaged in the teaching and research of transportation economics and management. He is a member of the Education Economics Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, a member of the Applied Economics Discipline Assessment Group of Shanghai Municipal Academic Degrees Committee, a Soft Science Specialist of the Ministry of Transportation, the leader of the expert group of national economic professional qualification examination, a member of the Senior Economist Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Transportation, a member of the China Industrial Economics Association, a member of Shanghai Statistical Institute, and a member of Shanghai Productivity Society.

Professor Yu was a visiting scholar at the University of Oldenburg, Germany, and Kyushu University in Japan. He has traveled to Britain, the United States, South Korea, Brazil, Argentina, and South Africa for international cooperation and exchange visits. He has edited or co-edited more than 30 books and published over 70 academic papers. He hosted and participated in more than 100 research projects such as transportation departments research projects, Shanghai Municipality research projects, and other consulting and scientific research projects. His scientific research projects won the First Prize of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the First Prize of the Shanghai Higher Education Institute, the Third Prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress of the Ministry of Transportation, the Third Prize of China Nautical Science and Technology. He also won the "Yucai" award in Shanghai, the "Golden Anchor" award for outstanding educators at the China Sea Staff Association, and the "Morals and Models" award of Shanghai Maritime University.
