Introduction:

Professor Le Zhenwen is currently dean of Xu Beihong Art of School Shanghai Maritime University, doctoral supervisor, executive dean of Shanghai Painting and Calligraphy Institute and a consultant of Shanghai Modern Ink Painting and Calligraphy Art. He is the director of the Shanghai Municipal Committee for Culture and Arts of the Democratic National Construction Association, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a part-time painter of the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy, and the chief editor of Shanghai Painting and Calligraphy. He was the director and professor of the Department of Chinese Painting at the Shanghai University of Fine Arts.

Prof. Le Zhenwen started from traditional Chinese landscape painting and experienced the melodious, graceful “Jiangnan works” period and the masculine, majestic, “work of loess”. In terms of paintings, he constantly explores the combination of landscape creation and comprehensive vision, the traditional brushwork and the modern composition, and the integration of painting vocabulary and art philosophy and the unity of natural rhythm and humanistic rhythm. Hence, his paintings becomes extraordinary in Shanghai-style painting.

Professor Le Zhenwen has always devoted himself to his creations. His works are exhibited in important joint exhibitions and solo exhibitions both at home and abroad and have been collected by many foreign art institutions. In recent years, his paintings have repeatedly risen in auction prices. Among them, the Shang Gao Shui Chang auction price reached 1.437 million yuan, Yunling depths was 81.25 million yuan, and the Autumn Festival price was 475,000 yuan. Kong Shan You Jian, Autumn Landscape Color and Green Landscape together sold at 460,000 yuan.
