Introduction:

Yuanyuan Bao, born in 1966, is a professor and PhD tutor in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Fudan University. He is also a distinguished professor of Cheung Kong Scholars of the Chinese Ministry of Education. He has been involved in many fields including Heidegger's research, the study of modern Chinese literary history, contemporary literary criticism, modern Chinese and modern literary relations and Lu Xun's research. In 2002, he won the Feng Mu Literature Prize Young Critics Award. In 2003, he won the Tang Hao Modern Literature Research Award and in 2009, he won the The 8th Chinese Language Literature Media Award. He is the author of "Liu Xun's Six Lectures", "Zhao Yuanbao speaks Lu Xun", "Lu Xun's Intensive Reading", "Recovery of Beads: Reading Notes on the History of Modern Chinese Literature", "Chinese History", "Small Criticism Collection" and other monographs and essays.

History of Modern Chinese Literature, Contemporary Literature Review, History of the Relationship between Modern Chinese and New Chinese Literature, Lu Xun Studies, Western Aesthetics, and Literary and Artistic Thoughts.
