Introduction:

Professor Xie Gabao currently serves as Professor of Accounting at the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University and is the deputy director of the Department of Economics. He was a visiting scholar at the University of West Florida and is the deputy director of the MAPcc (Master of Professional Accounting) Education Center at Wuhan University. He successively served as professor of the EMBA program at Wuhan University, Zhejiang University, Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University, Wuhan University of Technology, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and Zhengzhou University. In 2010, he won the title of "China's Top Ten Most Admired Business School Professors" of the year selected by the World Managers' Organization. In 2011, he received the title of “Most Popular MBA Teacher of Wuhan University”. He was awarded the title of “Top Ten Most Popular Professors of Accounting and Related Courses in 2011” and received the first, second and third prizes for outstanding teaching achievements in Hubei Higher Education Institutions.

Professor Xie Gabao has presided over the “Research on the Reform of Executive Compensation Management System of State-owned Enterprises in China” of the National Social Science Fund and the “Enrichment of Corporate Capital” of the Humanities and Social Science Planning Fund of the Ministry of Education and participated in the researches of “Bank Debt Contracts, Financial Reporting Quality and Corporate Investment Efficiency” and “International Standards for Accounting Standards, Accrued and Real Earnings Management and Their Economic Outcomes: Comparative Studies Based on Transnational and Chinese Studies” of National Natural Science Foundation of China.
