Introduction:
Xu Dazhen graduated from the Graduate School of Port Management at the World Maritime University in Sweden. He is associate professor, member of Shanghai Municipal CPPCC, member and deputy secretary-general of Pudong New Area CPPCC Standing Committee and member of Jiusan Society Shanghai Municipal Standing Committee. He used to be deputy director of the Department of Water Transportation Management at Shanghai Maritime University, vice president of the School of Management, vice president of the School of Transportation, director of the Foreign Affairs Division (director of the Hong Kong, Matheber and Taiwan Affairs Office), dean of the International Exchange Academy and executive vice president of the Pudong Institute of Business Administration. He once served as deputy director of the Shanghai Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone Administrative Committee and an independent director of the original Hainan Straits Shipping Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen: 002320). He hosted or participated in a number of projects at the provincial and ministerial level, whose topics include port development strategies and maritime policy research, etc. In 2001, he received Shanghai's outstanding educators and was the winner of first prize for scientific and technological progress from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing in 2007. In 2011, he played a role in the discussion and administration of advanced individuals during the 93rd Society of the People’s Republic of China. His main research areas: port development strategy and modern management.
