Introduction:

Professor Qu Linchi is a professor at Shanghai Maritime University, a tutor for doctoral students, chairman of the professor committee of the School of Economics and Management, director of the Institute for Industrial Development and Enterprise Strategy (IDES), director of the Center for Shipping Economics and Finance and a China-Dutch Education and Research Center(CHERC) Director. He has won National Outstanding Teacher, Shanghai University Teaching Master, and Shanghai Shuguang Scholar. He also serves as a member of the Shanghai MBA Education Steering Committee, a member of the Steering Committee for International Economics and Trade Education of Shanghai Universities, a member of the Academic Committee of Shanghai Maritime University, a member of the Academic Degrees Evaluation Committee, the chairman of the MBA Degree Evaluation Committee, and editor of the Journal of Shanghai Maritime University. His other major part-time jobs include director of China Industrial Economics Association, director of China Management Modernization Research Association, director of Shanghai Pacific Regional Economic Development Research Institute, director of Shanghai Management Science Society and executive director of Shanghai Productivity Society. He served as Dean of School of Economics and Management of Shanghai Maritime University from 2004 to 2013 and concurrently served as Director of MBA Education Center of Shanghai Maritime University.

Prof. Qu Linchi is also a leader of a key subject - a leader in the field of industrial economics (sea-related industries) of the Ministry of Transport, a keynote speaker of the national quality video public offering “Focus on the International Shipping Economy – Economic Perspective”, and the author of “China Shipping Development Report”, the leader of Shanghai University Knowledge Service Platform——Shipping Industry Innovation and Development Strategy Research Team of Shanghai International Shipping Research Center, leader of Shanghai Cross-Disciplinary Postgraduate Graduate Top Creative Personnel Training Platform - Innovative Talents Training Platform for Doctors of Shipping Finance. He is responsible for foreign trade economics of Shanghai Undergraduate Education and or Business Administration of undergraduate education and is responsible for the international shipping economics course of the Shanghai Excellent Courses and the expert of Shanghai Institute of Shipping Development at the Shanghai International Shipping Research Center. He is also a reviewer of journals such as “Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University” (Natural Science Edition) and “System Engineering Theory and Practice”. He has won the third prize of Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award, the third prize of the outstanding achievements of Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science and the policy recommendation award of Shanghai's decision-making consultation research results.
