On the afternoon of May 16, the first session of the first general meeting of Inland Port Branch of China Ports & Harbors Association was held in Xi’an. Representatives from 70 domestic inland port industrial (trade) zones, inland port zones, dry port zones, road harbors and logistics parks attended the meeting. Professor Yu Siqin, executive deputy dean of SAIIS was invited to the meeting.

During the meeting, professional experts and scholars shared their views and suggestions on the sustainable and healthy development of inland port.

Professor Yu Siqin introduced Shanghai Advanced Institute of International Shipping to the guests and voiced his own opinions on the issues like the education of shipping senior talents, the school-running characteristics of SAIIS and the efforts SAIIS has made to promote the construction of Shanghai Shipping Center.

The meeting was hosted by China Ports & harbors Association and Xi’an International Logistics Park. The theme of the meeting was to build China inland port, inland port network along the bridge and the Silk Road economic belt. The meeting was aimed at exploring the strategies of inland port alliance development and discussing how to safeguard the development of inland port development.
