From Mar. 21 to Mar. 23, all the students from Ship Finance EMBA of Shanghai Advanced Institute of International Shipping attended the three-day lecture given in Jiangyin, a beautiful coastal garden city of Jiangsu Province.

Su Yu, associate professor from School of Economics and Management, Shanghai Maritime University, gave the lecture called Management Economics. Professor Su’s lecture was well received for his detailed but vivid explanation and his rich teaching experience. The students actively participated in the lecture activities, sharing various economic decision-making cases involved in their business management.

President Chen Le of Jiangsu Jiangyin Port Group Co., Ltd, together with vice-president Hua Jiang and Xu Jiandong, was also present at the lecture. They not only affirmed Professor Su’s original views and his flexible way of teaching, but also praised our institute’s teaching methods by means of flexible locations.

As a part of the flexible classroom learning, our institute also organized the students to visit Huaxi Village of Jiangyin City, which is known as National Civilized Village.

Flexible classroom learning is one great characteristic of EMBA education in SAIIS. It integrates classroom teaching, enterprise visits, social practice and class construction, which helps broaden students’ perspectives and promote their capability of practice management as well.
