On the afternoon of March 29, the completion ceremony of the first post-graduate diploma course on ship finance was held in Shanghai Advanced Institute of International Shipping at Dongming Road. Professor Ma Shuo, vice president of World Maritime University, and professor Jin Yongxsing, vice president of Shanghai Maritime University attended the completion ceremony and delivered speeches as well. The ceremony was hosted by professor Yu Siqin, executive deputy dean of Shanghai Advanced Institute of International University.

Professor Ma Shuo congratulated the students on completing the course. He highly praised the course, saying that the course has not only achieved the intended goal but also laid a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation of the two universities.

Vice president Jin Yongxing also expressed his gratitude for the support from World Maritime University and his congratulation on the achievements the students have made. He expected the students would apply what they had learned from the course to their work, strive to become the first highly specialized shipping executives with international perspectives in China and make contributions to the development of shipping industry of Shanghai and even China.

Yan Hao, on behalf of all the trainees, gave a speech about his gains in English.

The post-graduate diploma course on ship finance has been the first officially-running program designed for high-end shipping professionals since Shanghai Advanced Institute of International Shipping was founded in November, 2012. The total duration of the course is seven months.
