On June 12, professor Ma Shuo, the vice president of World Maritime University gave the lecture about Cycle Analysis of International Shipping Market for the EMBA students of Shanghai Advanced Institute of International Shipping.

Professor Ma Shuo analyzed the characteristics of periodicity change in shipping market based on its various data of 200 years and helped the students understand thoroughly the reasons behind the cyclical fluctuation of shipping market. Professor Ma Shuo stressed that only insight into these reasons can help improve the purpose and accuracy when making a decision. In the lecture, the students interacted actively with professor Ma Shuo.

Professor Ma Shuo is now the vice president of World Maritime University and the director of WMU Shanghai Center. He has made great achievements in maritime economics, port management and so on. Professor Ma Shuo once worked in COSCO and was invited to act as a counselor in UNCTAD. Professor Ma Shuo was even awarded the French title"Chevalier de l’Ordre".
