On the afternoon of November 21, professor Jin Yongxing, vice president of Shanghai Maritime University, gave the lecture Improving China’s Maritime Power, Accelerating the development of Maritime Transport Power for the EMBA students of SAIIS in Haining, Zhejiang.

Professor Jin Yongxing thinks 21st century is a maritime century, maritime transport power is not only the key of maritime power, but also an important part of “China dream”. China’s maritime power in the world is a significant symbol of maritime transport power. He said great importance must be attached to China’s maritime power and executive power. In the lecture, professor Jin Yongxing introduced the current development models of the main maritime powers and the hot issues in the world maritime field. Besides, he analyzed the present existing problems in China’s maritime transport industry and put forward the solutions correspondingly. His lecture was well received by the students for his abundant illustrations and thorough analysis.

Professor Jin Yongxing is the current vice president of Shanghai Maritime University and the doctoral supervisor of transportation vehicle application engineering. He also holds many concurrent posts as the chairman of IMLA, the member of the National University Education Transportation Teaching Advisory Board, the vice director of Navigation Technology Teaching Advisory Board, the advisor of the National Maritime Bureau International Maritime Research Committee Crew Training and Certification Board and so on.
