On November 21, professor Xu Dazhen, the executive dean of SAIIS and CPPCC member of Shanghai, gave the lecture Shipping Enterprise Operation Management for the EMBA students of the classes of 2013 and 2014 in Haining, Zhejiang.

Professor Xu Dazhen elaborated the connotation and extension of operation management in combination with the characteristics of port and shipping enterprise, analyzed the complicated situations of shipping industry external operating environment and also put forward the solutions. He stated the enterprise should foresight the changes of the future trade game rules and realize the core problems of the shipping recovery should depend on the recovery of the original shipping demands. He advised that enterprises should change the marketing models to improve enterprise service and seek the breakthrough according to the shippers’ requirements.

Professor Xu Dazhen, graduating from World Maritime University in Sweden, is the current executive dean of SAIIS. He also holds many concurrent posts as the standing committee and deputy secretary general of CPPCC of Pudong New Area and Jiusan society of Shanghai municipal committee and so on.
