On the afternoon of October 10, Huang Youfang, president of Shanghai Maritime University met Song Dexing, vice president of Sinotrans & CSC Holdings Co., Ltd, and his delegation in Shanghai Advanced Institute of International Shipping. Li Zhen, general manager assistant, Gao Chen, deputy director of president’s office, Xu Tinghui, deputy general manager of the Shipping Department, Zhan Lu, general manager of Changjiang Ship Corporation as well as Yu Siqin, executive deputy dean of SAIIS and heads of President Office, Logistics Research Center, Research Institute of SMU attended the forum.

President Huang Youfang introduced the history, the overview, the development ideas, the recent focus of SMU and he especially introduced the newly-founded Shanghai Advanced Institute of International Shipping and China (Shanghai) of Free Trade Zone Supply Chain Institute. He said the two institutes, aimed at the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center and Free Trade Zone, are the high-end talent training base and free trade zone supply chain research base, which have made periodical achievements.

Yu Siqin, the executive deputy dean of SAIIS introduced the development of the institute and the future development model of SAIIS.

Vice president Song Dexing expressed his best wishes to the development of the university and expected further exchange and cooperation with the university.
