On the evening of October 17, professor Zhen Hong, the secretary general of Shanghai International Shipping Research Center, gave the lecture the New Trend of Development of the Port Transformation for the EMBA students of Shanghai Advanced Institute of International Shipping.

With the development of economic globalization, it is difficult for the traditional port operation mode to deal with the changeable situation, therefore, the port urgently calls for transformation development. Professor Zhen Hong believes it is essential to explore how to develop the port combined with the inevitalbe rule and the actual conditions of port development in China. Based on his own research, professor Zhen Hong shared the new trend of development of port transformation in the future with the students. In the lecture, professor Zhen Hong helped the students to know clearly about the development of port by using many charts, data and examples. His lecture was well received by the EMBA students.

Professor Zhen Hong is the secretary general of Shanghai International Shipping Research Center, doctoral supervisor of Shanghai Maritime University and the winner of special government allowance from the State Council. He also holds posts in many other academic committees and societies.
