From August 29 to August 31, Zhang Yinjie, the famous economist in our country gave the lecture Corporate Governance for the EMBA students in Shanghai Maritime University Dongming Road Campus.

Professor Zhang Yijine helped the students to learn about the characteristics of the lecture Corporate Governance based on abundant cases. She held the view that the future competition of business is not just the competition in management, but the competition in governance, that is, corporate governance is more important, more fundamental than governance. In the lecture, she talked about the systems of modern enterprises and its characteristics, analyzed the ways of managing an enterprise by citing the stories of rise and fall of some famous enterprises at home and abroad. When it comes to the ways of governance, professor Zhang believed that the most important thing of governance is to build up effective internal governance conditions, to form reasonable ownership structure and efficient executive board as well as effective incentive-restraint schemes. Professor Zhang Yinjie was well received by the students. After the lecture, the students said they would put what they had learned into practice.

Professor Zhang Yijie is a famous expert at economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, who has published many academic books and articles. She has held concurrent posts as independent directors in many listed companies and as counselors in government sectors.
