In the afternoon of May 23, a seminar about the construction of Shanghai Advanced International Shipping College was held in Taishan Technology and Research Building.The seminar was chaired by Professor Yu Siqin,and attended by another ten experts .

At the seminar,Vice President Jin Yongxing pointed out the purpose of our school to establish Shanghai Advanced International Shipping College is to cultivate high-end and qualified shipping talents In this field.Vice President Jin also encouraged all experts present to give much suggestions and recommendations on the construction and development of Shanghai Advanced International Shipping College.

Then,all experts expressed their views,and three consensuses were reached as follows.First,in order to strengthen the core competence,the college should be positioned as a superior school which is specialized in shipping finance,shipping law,shipping logistics and some other aspects;Second,we could take advantage of the government,international orgnizations and other social resources to improve the overall educational level of the college;Third,sustainable development must be taken into consideration in the construction of the college.

Finally,Vice President Jin fully affirmed the recommendations of every expert.He indicated that there is a long way to go in building Shanghai Advanced International College.But as long as we work togther and make joint efforts,all goals can be fulfilled in the near future.
